From the moment a chart is open, Harmony Lab is listening to what you play. When something lands, press Loop that and the bars you just played are locked in as a loop, trimmed to the beat, with their chords named. Overdub on it, undo a layer, or promote it to a section of the chart. MIDI or audio, from a keyboard or a mic.

The instrument shows the key as the ground, the chord of the moment on top, and the tones the next chord brings in already outlined, so a change is something you lean into. Drag across four bars to drill them with the tempo climbing each pass. Slow a recording without changing its pitch, or shift it into your key.

Every idea, four times deeper.
Five strands, intervals, chords, scales, progressions and ear, climb together. Each idea comes back at every tier, harder each time and pitched to where you are: the major scale is a shape under your fingers in tier one and the source of every chord in the key by tier three. A placement test sets your starting rung on each strand, and every lesson is passed by playing it on the instrument.

Everyone reads music
differently.
Some people read a chord grid. Some read a lead sheet with the words under it. Some want the staff, in a Real Book hand or a classic engraving. Some want the chords flowing toward them on Horizon, or lit on the neck and the keys. Harmony Lab draws the same song every one of those ways and switches between them mid-song, in Roman numerals or Nashville numbers if you prefer. Tab is next.
